I
am one of the 5 women that have been attending kickboxing
classes at Zai Martial Arts Academy. My friend and I have
been going to classes religiously since September every
Mon, Wed, & Fri's.
Since having 3 kids I decided
that it was time to concentrate a little bit more on myself.
I wanted something more than just a gym membership. I wanted
an environment that was relaxed, comfortable, interactive,
fun, and most importantly DELIVERED RESULTS! Afterall, it
is not often that I get an hour to myself! It is truly amazing
how the hour flies by. By the end of each kickboxing class
I feel great knowing that I've just burned ALOT of calories
and had fun while doing it. I am proud to say that I have
lost over 25 pounds within the last 3 months since taking
the class. I've been told by many people that they've noticed
the results. Not only have I lost the weight, but I feel
leaner, stronger and more energetic!
Sifu Zai is really an awesome
instructor. He is friendly and very patient. Each class
differs from each other. He mixes up the classes with different
combinations of exercises. Not only does he teach/makes
sure that we are using the right techniques, but he also
explains the reason for each technique that is used. We
start each class with a warm up, then usually partner up
to spar using the techniques that were taught.
I have made a comittment to myself
and to my friend that signed up with me.
We partner together while sparring and are consistently
encouraging each other to work out harder. I can't believe
it's been 3 months and we've only missed 1 class (due to
family commitments on Halloween). We're staying comitted
and are "all for" classes being held here at Mountain
House!
Time really flies by when you're
having fun!
